title – « Babylon »
material – mirrored steel, black iron
Steel and mirror intersect, confusing the limit between glory and pride, truth and manipulation, history and mythology.
Babylon passes through time with its contradictions, a symbol of age-old grandeur and epochal ruin. The first metropolis of humanity, the Tower tells the myth of man’s intent to achieve the sky, attracting in turn the divine wrath. Sculpted like a modern ziggurat, polished like a reflection, the work embodies the tension between the defense of our certainties and the drive to explore the new, combines hardness and fragility and invites us to an incremental path, towards different points of view, towards new experiences.
